All switches of broadband would be led by the new proposals by Ofcom providers seeking to avoid customers being without an internet connection or pay two suppliers
The end could be in view of problems faced by families trying to change their broadband provider, if the proposals of the telecoms regulator are implemented.
Ofcom has introduced a package of measures to change phone providers broadband and fixed easily and reliably, while protecting consumers against any changes without your knowledge or consent -. A process known as slamming

Currently, one third of the regular customers of the line broadband Internet connection or are not paying two suppliers when it comes to change, while some 520,000 households are victims of slamming, according to the regulator .
Part of the problem is a mosaic of different processes is constrained to a broadband user to browse to switch companies - a problem exacerbated by systems appropriate providers. About 130,000 homes a year are affected by the wrong line to be considered a result of poor systems, said Ofcom.
The process has become even more complicated by the trend toward bundled services through a provider that offers broadband, telephone, television and sometimes a mobile phone contract in one package.
as proposed by Ofcom, all switches to follow the same process led by the broadband provider, and a "third party verification process" would operate for consumers to confirm their consent to change.

- The proposals were consulted, were welcomed by consumer groups and broadband switching sites. Adam Scorer, director of public policy at the Consumer Focus, said: "We strongly support the plan to move towards achieving targeted supplier switching process
"By moving to a new provider should be responsible to make the process quick and easy -. The company lost business has little incentive to do so when the new company is responsible for the process that tends to drive down costs, the boundary conditions, and promote an early end, all that is good news for consumers.
