Kretsinger Cody, 24, faces jail after admitting in his conviction of violating the Sony Pictures and theft of names

LulzSec pirates Kretsinger Cody pleaded guilty to charges of being involved in a violation of wide systems against Sony.

Kretsinger, 24, pleaded guilty in federal court in California to one count of conspiracy and unauthorized impairment of a protected computer in a deal with prosecutors. LulzSec, a subsidiary of international piracy Anonymous took credit for hacking government and private sector websites.

"I joined LulzSec, your honor, when we gained access to the site from Sony Pictures," Kretsinger, who went by the nickname of piracy "recursion," said the judge after a guilty plea.

. Kretsinger faces up to 15 years in prison, but is considered likely will receive a sentence much less.
