Writers who are able to understand the market in which you work, and understand that file sharing and digital copying, all adverse changes produced by technology, creating opportunities that many problems. The digital economy works on the model of the long tail, and the copy is part of how a book or digital creation moves in the queue. Creative Control
is attractive for the business author. You want to develop limited editions of his book and sell them on Etsy? You can. Want to find a kick-ass illustrator on deviantART for your presentation? You can. Discover a Kickstarter to fund the next volume of the epic fantasy saga? You can. You want to make a marketing agreement with a sponsor who loves brand? You can. You want to make copies of his book on The Pirate Bay to find new readers? You can. The options for authors ships are huge, and the potential for creativity really exciting. In the past, the authors relied on publishers to make these decisions for themselves creative, but changes in digital publishing means that many writers are not only creative but financially better or acting on his behalf or negotiate new types of relationships with publishers.
