Diane Abbott MP was held tweeted about the incident when her train from Edinburgh to London for an hour
British Transport Police were forced to two men, armed policemen, while apologies were seized at a train to York Station.
The two men who were described as "Middle Eastern" were taken after a busy train in front of horrified passengers before they returned about 40 minutes later.
The incident happened at around 4pm on a busy Edinburgh to London train and was by Diane Abbott MP, the two men on a British army course was experienced tweeted.
Abbott said the train an hour before the gates of York Station was delayed by armed police on board and conducted a search of the train.
You tweeted at 16:59: ". 2 Asian guys only accompanied by my train of armed police"
Abbott corrected later \, the men's ethnicity, saying they were actually "Middle Eastern" and were back on the train about 40 minutes later.
"Asian guys tore the train by armed police in York look really tired. Everyone too polite to ask what happened."
She added: "2 guys were unjustly confiscated my train of Middle Eastern and actually do a course with the British army, police apologized to them \ .."
A spokesman for the British Transport Police, said: "The police had to York railway station at 15:34 on Friday, July 1st Called after a passenger reported that a man with a gun in his bag on board the 13:30 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross service. The train was held at York Station, while armed units from North Yorkshire Police attended to find the train.
"The officials found no cause for alarm, and the train was released."
A spokesman for the British Army, said they were training for numerous foreign and British nationals.
