However, the main purpose of government is not just to stir religious sentiments.
A report in The New York Times Monday, said Sibal met the directors of four companies about six weeks ago and showed them a Facebook page with an image edited mocking Sonia Gandhi, president of the Party Congress, and said it was "unacceptable." A modified image of the current Prime Minister Manmohan Singh showed reporters Tuesday.

"Our Indian Minister knows that the 48 hours of video uploaded to YouTube every minute. Or that generated 250 tweets a day, "he wrote.
Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, intervened in the debate via Twitter, which has been criticized by the Government of India. "I hate the idea of ??censorship, but I saw for myself how dangerous inflammatory content on Facebook and Youtube can," he said in apparent reference to the role of the Internet riots played recurring status.
