gives the current titles, including social networking and salt, as it intensifies its rivalry with Netflix

Lovefilm Amazon continues its film and television content with the rights of the U.S. war rival Netflix, the signing of an agreement with Sony Pictures Television for the right of the current title as the social network and salt .

The agreement, which came a day after Netflix has signed a contract with BBC Worldwide content, including movies and TV children's books such as Transformers Animated and Spectacular Spider-Man The Karate Kid series .

Lovefilm has entered into a multi-year agreement with Sony for exclusive broadcast rights in what is known as the "second window subscription pay-TV", a similar agreement with the style that struck with Warner Bros. does no existing agreements with companies such as Sky.

The agreement, however, the block that Netflix is ??in a race to reach similar agreements before its launch in the UK and Ireland next year.

Lovefilm has deals in place with Entertainment One, which owns the rights to movies like the Twilight Saga, Studio Canal - formerly Optimum Releasing - the distribution company behind such films as source code, as the block Tinker attack soldier and spy.
