new tool to improve transparency, after accidents than 400,000 taxpayers are attempting to access
HM Revenue & Customs has apologized after an online calculator designed to show users how much they paid taxes and how they spend it crashed on the weight of traffic.
- said 400,000 people tried to access the calculator, the morning of its launch, more than expected. Many have received an error message saying that the calculator was not available. A spokesman for the tool was expected to be operational within hours. The version of the application has not been affected.
