based Google Android offers users exclusive content and songs at a price equal to rival Apple's iTunes
Google and Apple have stepped up their battle for business with the launch this week of music services for its smartphone platforms.
Android phone users in the United States now be able to access Google Music, where the search engine company has signed major labels, but until now, Warner Music.
The service is not available outside the U.S., since Google has not completed negotiations with record companies so you can sell songs in other places.
GoogleOffer Comes With Music Exclusive Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Busta Rhymes, Shakira, Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band.
songs available in MP3 format encoded at 320 kbps. Prices range from 69c songs for 99 cents and $ 1.29, the same as Apple's iTunes.
The lack of Google Music Warner Music will be no way some famous names, such as Led Zeppelin and Prince are available at retail rivals such as Apple's iTunes.
"They have to [Music] catalog filled fast enough," said Mike McGuire, an analyst with industry research firm Gartner. "This is a field, but some thing as a work in progress. "
Analysts say that sales of music online is unlikely that much of a lift to revenues of Google. But they say that Google must be in the market to ensure that their Android based mobile efforts can match the offerings of its competitors.
Android is No. 1 worldwide smartphone operating system, supply of about 200 meters around the world. But without a music service based on the Android smartphones and tablets may not be as attractive to consumers looking for a product that offers a multimedia experience problems.
Apple and, more recently, Amazon launched its Kindle tablet and fire a music buying service, pose the biggest challenge there.
- Meanwhile, Apple this week launched its iTunes service in the game, also in the United States and only due to licensing restrictions imposed by the record companies.
- iTunes
- part allows any user to an IOS device - like an iPhone, iPhone or iPod Touch - to download a copy of all the songs they already have in your music collection in a "record "the computer one of these devices.
The service costs $ 25 per year, Jamie Rosenberg, director of digital content for Google Android to take a dig that: "The other music services in the cloud think you have to pay to listen music that you already have. We are not, "he said.
Google offers cloud storage free up to 20,000 songs, even if clients have physical load.
