A statement posted on the Twitter account of Anonymous, AnonymousIRC, described WikiLeaks as "Julian Assange show man" after the site began asking users to pay for access to millions of documents disclosed.
"The idea behind Wikileaks was to give the public information that would otherwise be kept secret by the industries and governments. Information firmly believe that the public has a right to know, "said the statement name anonymous.
"But it was more in the background, however, only heard of Julian Assange as he dined last night with Lady Gaga. This is great for him, but not much of our interest. We are more interested in open government and remove the documents and information you want to hide from the public. "
- Anonymous was one of the closest allies of WikiLeaks and voice. Fans who led anonymous posters regularly in public announcements Assange and the group led an online campaign against critics of the identity of the whistleblower site.
