first full test of the rate of land registration will be shipped via hybrid cloth Cornwall as part of the training initiative

engineers plan to test what they described as Europe's largest hybrid rocket car next week say they are confident that it will work - so confident that the performance is broadcast live on the Internet

The Bloodhound supersonic car, developed by the Bloodhound Education Project initiative, will be tested at Newquay Cornwall Airport, October 3.

The Bloodhound is described as the largest rocket car in its class to be designed in Europe and the largest rocket test in the UK for 20 years.

chief engineer, Mark Chapman, said the result of the first test of the car would be useful.

"Almost everything that comes out of Newquay next week will be a success," he said.

"It is unusual that [the public] are a rocket early in development. When you see it works or not be the first time we see it works or not. We are confident that this will to work. "

car shaped pencil is 12 feet (4 m) long, 18ins (45.7 cm) in diameter and weighing 992 pounds (450 kg).

In its final form, is expected to generate a combined output of 95 Formula 1 cars. Rocket engineer Dan Jubb said showing the first test was all about educating young people about science and technology, which is a key objective of the Bloodhound.

"The key point is that we develop a rocket and then invite you all to come and see the final green light, when success is assured, at the bottom," said Jubb.
"Bloodhound sharing scientific and technical challenges for everyone to see development as this is the case. I do not think there has been this level of access to a rocket at this level of maturity since probably Apollo. "
