The Wall Street Journal has been criticized by leading American journalists for not revealing that 10 of its op-ed writers are Mitt Romney advisors.

According to research by Media Matters, 23 op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal page has attacked President Obama praised Romney or without the authors acknowledge that their political connections to Romney.

Max Frankel, former editor of the New York Times, executive, called the lack of communication "shameless". He added: "They should put a sign saying Romney approved of this page ... Looks like the Wall Street Journal editorial and op-ed pages are enlisted in the campaign, they should say.".

"not reveal is inexcusable," said Stephen Henderson, the editor of the Detroit Free Press. "It is important to recognize that for the reader to evaluate the argument intelligently," said said Nicolas Goldberg, Los Angeles Times columnist, adding that transparency is "absolutely essential".
