service, saying he wants "to record the sound of music" project with Pono
If Neil Young has his way, the future will Pono. The singer, 66, is planning to store music from Apple's iTunes, the launch of a "high resolution" downloads service and launched her own line of portable media players.
Earlier this year, Young said he and former Apple CEO Steve Jobs has explored ways to achieve a better quality audio for iPod. But since the death of Steve Jobs in October 2011, the demands of young Apple stopped sending his calls. Therefore, reports Rolling Stone magazine, the title of the new book is a reference to the impending war youth audio called Waging Peace heavy. "[We] force iTunes to be better and improve quality at a faster pace," wrote the young, adding that he wants to "save the music."
- According to Rolling Stone, Young joined Craig Kallman, president of Atlantic Records, to create the Pono project. Probably a riff "mono" Pono protocol seems to encompass audio music software, conversion, and a music service based on cloud - although nothing has been confirmed. Warner Music Group, the parent company of the Atlantic have signed for the project. And majors, Universal and Sony were "treated," said Kallman. The hope is that they all turn your hi-fi catalogs for distribution. "It must be a solution for the entire industry," said Kallman.
- For now, Young has tried to promote its technology using a single fixed Cadillac. Pono Eldorado took the Bonnaroo Festival improved last year, playing songs from Mumford & Sons, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. "This is a huge difference," said Flea. "MP3s suck". However, My Morning Jacket, Jim James pointed out what is perhaps the biggest flaw of plans for a new audio format: "I've Respect Aretha Franklin purchased a lot of time," he said. "Do I buy it again? "
