Anyone disappointed by the authenticity of the biography of Steve Jobs really should take a look at this study rather brilliantly designed a tournament (fictional) chess computer v computer in years 80. (We know that it is pre-1984 as the tournament host says it has placed a bet that will have to wait until then to a computer to beat a human in the game).
