to show your work in blogs, podcasts and social media is good, but do not see it as a shortcut to find an audience

"Piracy is a concern then and now" authors "artisan" Damien G Walter wrote in his article on file sharing and piracy, which was covered with earth Interestingly, caused much discussion -., and put a lot back to the idea he proposed not only to accept book piracy a good thing, but can in fact lies at the heart of the life of professional writers. And while Examples of Damien Neil Gaiman, Charles Stross and Cory Doctorow the authors who have embraced and subverted, file sharing and piracy are all legitimate, not everyone agrees with his major premise.

On its website, the room on the left, Steve Mosby argues that Doctorow status as a pioneer in the field means that there is no way later, the author can hope to have the same impact, especially since many people are now giving their work away. More Tor, Niall Alexander categorically as Damien, but believes that the piece does not reflect the situation of authors of the mid-list. Bob Lock in Amazing Stories has a different answer: that writers who do not live on their work, piracy is a way to put his name in the world, at least while building your career. Obviously, the issue is complex and sensitive. For me, the piece does not take into account a third approach. Creative Commons License

This form of license was developed in 2001, and the organization continues to refine the following Creative Commons license which is used for, ranging from photography and books for podcasting (which is where I come from). I work licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution commercial, no derivatives license no - which means that anyone can copy the podcast to work, provided it does not, because the work invoiced or try change it. This is a great system, and many use podcasts as it replaces a support network (the publishing industry) with a smaller one. This is not piracy, because the author sign off on the item being distributed - but not file sharing is. There is a third way, a publication that combines elements of broadcasting and the near ubiquity of mp3 players to deliver stories to an audience.

is not a magic wand, of course. JC Hutchins, a contemporary of Sigler, built public equally impressive for his series of novels 7th Son podcast. But while the first volume of 7th Son and Personal Effects ambitious transmedia novel saw print, failed to gain ground. Hutchins still working on transmedia storytelling, but it worked for Sigler did not work for him. Even successful authors writing in both camps have spent years to get to this point. Lafferty wall, for example, worked in a number of podcasts and digital projects, and his first novel, The Guide to New York drawl, is finally released this year in orbit. A podcast, a blog or a magazine as a whole is simply a different way. There is a shortcut.
